- Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
- Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
- Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
- In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
- Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports
- Clean driving record
- Associates degree in a related technical field or equivalent on-the-job training
- Five or more years’ experience in field service working with electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Experience working with integrated equipment controls preferred
- Customer service skills that demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and garnering customer loyalty
- Able and willing to travel 80% of the time, including an occasional international trip
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of industrial machinery
- Ability to read technical drawings & electrical schematics
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic & pneumatic systems
- Resolves customer issues and creates value for both customers and Cold Jet in a professional manner
- Effectively applies technical and logical methodologies to solve problems
- Clear written and verbal communication, computer literate with experience in MS Office, web browsers, ERP & CRM systems, TeamViewer & Google docs
- Able to prioritize critical tasks
- Effectively schedules work load, material and parts needed to complete tasks in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer
- Able to manage inventory and to be accountable
- Knowledge of embedded PLC programming in Structured Text, and HMI development in HTML5
- Solid skills and experience in troubleshooting PLC/HMI programming system
- Identify PLC Symptoms, ability to review programs, trace ladder logic & verify causes.
- Familiar with electrical wiring diagrams and electrical schematics/circuits
- Provide a methodical means of troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Update, develop and maintain PLC-Programs for high-quality Line-Controls on complete Engineered systems for ES and IBS
- Contribute with programming support during site commissioning of ES and IBS projects
- Knowledge Beckhoff TwinCAT (The Windows Control and Automation Technology) suite of automation tools and components for use in industrial control systems.
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time throughout the day.
- Regularly reaching with a range of floor level to overhead
- Regularly bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and maneuvering around and inside equipment
- Regularly climbing ladders
- Regularly lifting or moving – 10 lbs. frequently, 30 lbs. occasionally (approx. 1x/week), 70 lbs. (floor to waist) in frequently (approx. 1x/month)
