Job Title: Senior Electrical EngineerWe're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to projects focused on municipal water and wastewater treatment plants.   • Produce contract documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Conduct load and voltage drop calculations.
  • Lead short circuit, protective device, and coordination studies.
  • Develop One-Line diagrams and Control schematics.
  • Coordinate electrical design with utilities, project team, and clients.
  • Mentor and train staff-level electrical engineers.
  • Prepare technical memoranda and reports.
  • Enforce company and client standards on projects.
  • Manage electrical portion of medium to large projects for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Conduct quality management reviews of electrical design.
  • Participate in continuing editing and development of electrical master specifications.
  • Delegate tasks and follow up on completion and quality.
  • Identify and consult on solutions to complex tasks.
  • Participate in client contacts and business development efforts.
  • Make timely and implementable decisions.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards.
  • Travel as required for project needs.
  • Conduct site visits during construction and operation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in industrial power and control systems design.
  • Professional Engineer registration.
  • Registered with the NCEES.
  • Extensive experience in low voltage power distribution, industrial controls, and lighting systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Proficiency in point-to-point conduit and wire systems design.
  • Expertise in lighting calculations, receptacle designs, and conduit routing.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and National Electrical Code.
  • Familiarity with fault current calculations and machine theory.
  • Experience with hazardous area design and fire protection systems.
  • Proficiency in SKM, ETAP, or ESDA.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-discipline project teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Experience with Microstation and Autocad.
