The Speech & Language Pathologist assesses/evaluates, plans, implements, and provides individual patient care according to professional standards and departmental policies and procedures for swallowing, speech, language, voice and cognitive-linguistic impairments
Adult inpatient/outpatient and pediatric inpatient/outpatient consultation and treatment service
Acute care, acute rehab and Outpatients all serviced
Support for neonatal feeding and swallowing (NICU)
Head and Neck Clinic, voice, and swallowing disorders in collaboration with ENT
Stroke Center support
Tracheotomy and ventilator care
Qualifications
MBSS and/or FEES experience preferred
Master’s Degree related to communication disorders for Speech & Language Pathology from an accredited academic program
Successful completion of a clinical fellowship (CF)
Achieved Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech- Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)
Maintains active New York State licensure in Speech Language Pathology
One year of professional experience within the last three years in the medical setting of Speech-Language Pathology.
