Outside Sales Rep/Building MaterialsDuties and Responsibilities:1. The Outside Sales Rep will have Sales and Business Development tasks:· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets.· Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Gulf South region.· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and potential customers.· Provide product knowledge and information to customers, addressing their needs and requirements.2. The Outside Sales Rep Territory Management:· Manage and grow a designated territory within the Gulf South region.· Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.· Travel within the territory to meet clients, attend trade shows, and explore new opportunities.3. Outside Sales Rep Customer Service:· Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive client relationships.· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services.· Provide detailed explanations of the quality of different products.4. Outside Sales Rep Sales Reporting:· Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, market analysis, and activity reports.· Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions, sales leads, and account information.5. Outside Sales Rep Product Knowledge:· Stay informed about the company's lumber and supply products, features, and benefits.· Provide training and product demonstrations to clients as needed.· Capability to perform take-offs is preferred but not required.6. Outside Sales Rep Networking:· Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand contacts and promote the company's products.7. Outside Sales Rep Contract Negotiation:· Negotiate and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.Outside Sales Rep Qualifications:1. Experience:· Proven experience as a Sales Representative in the lumber and supply industry (doors sliding, panel, etc.).· Established contacts and experience in the Gulf South region.2. Knowledge and Skills:· In-depth understanding of lumber and building supply products.· Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.· Strong organizational and time-management abilities.3. Relationship Building:· Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and industry partners.4. Results-Driven:· Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.5. Travel:· Willingness to travel within the designated territory.6.
