- Work both independently and as part of a team to support all contract-related tasks.
- Review contractual issues objectively and proactively resolve disputed change orders to achieve appropriate resolutions.
- Develop and review different types of contracts and agreements for projects.
- Administer the contracts and ensure that all terms and conditions are implemented by all projects.
- Develop and review contracting strategies and plans for different types of projects.
- Conduct market analysis to determine the best type of contract for the project and provide alternatives.
- Implement the This Company Procurement Manual for all contracts and monitor its implementation.
- Develop and review change order packages, ensuring compliance with related guidelines and procedures.
- Develop and review negotiation strategies for change orders.
- Participate in negotiation meetings for all change orders.
- Ensure the implementation of supplier performance evaluations by project teams.
- Conduct or participate in counseling sessions with low-performing contractors and document the required actions.
- Provide contracting consultations to project teams to resolve issues and disputes.
- Provide feedback to project teams regarding contract terms and conditions to prevent disputes or contract breaches.
- Develop and review contract amendments.
- Perform contract closeout actions upon project completion.
- Prepare and review contracting reports for management.
- Prepare and review different types of agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with external parties and potential Joint Ventures (JVs).
- This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Law/Contracts Management from a recognized and approved program (advanced degree preferred).
- Possess fifteen (15) years of specialized contracting experience in design, consultancy, Joint Ventures, and construction contracts/agreements related to refining and the petrochemical industries.
- Exhibit excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a solid understanding of contract administration principles and best practices.
- Demonstrate a dynamic attitude towards process improvements.
- Be flexible and willing to work in multinational teams and mobilize to different locations, including remote areas as needed.
