Senior Data AnalystLocation: Hybrid/London Office (Some occasional travel to Milton Keynes)The roleWe are seeking an experienced analyst to join the Commercial Finance Team, which looks after revenue-growth activities, cost management and FP&A (forecasting, Planning and Analysis). You will use analytical skills to solve various problems facing the business and provide actionable insights. You will play a critical role in championing the use of data to deliver revenue growth from our products and services. The Commercial Finance Team work across all teams in Rightmove, with this role a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure across all teams and producing outputs that is key to delivering Rightmove’s business plan. The ideal candidate should have a deep sense of ownership, becoming the go-to person for their area on current performance, new initiatives, and future objectives. We’re looking for a deeply analytical and detail-orientated Commercial Owner, capable of structuring processes and bringing people together to solve problems collaboratively. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to quickly understand opportunities and implement solutions.The responsibilities
  • Drive delivery of commercial objectives – revenue and costs. How you get things done may vary day-to-day: you may be setting strategic direction one day, assessing data and trends another day, and improving an operational process the next
  • Identify revenue growth or cost saving opportunities: monitoring trends in customer behaviour and spending, analysing root cause, identifying risks, and delivering recommendations.
  • Design analytical solutions: work with Commercial Finance team and other senior stakeholders to turn ambiguous business questions into clearly scoped analytical projects.
  • Deliver analytical projects end-to-end: ensure work is robust and accurate and is delivered in a timely manner, with an eye on future automation.
  • Communicate results to drive impact: share insights and results in a commercial and compelling manner, including ability to visualise results.
  • Manage and coach the team: actively support your team on their work, prioritising projects and driving ownership and accountability across the team.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, Product, and other supporting teams.
Superpowers required!
  • Over 3 years of relevant experience in an analytical role, and able to evidence commercial acumen.
  • Advanced Excel and SQL skills required.
  • Experience in Looker (not essential)
  • Strong analytical thinker, demonstrating success in uncovering and building business cases for new growth opportunities. Ability to apply effective financial and analytical frameworks.
  • Strong presentation skills. Ability to turn data into stories and drive decision-making across the company.
  • Experience in driving team culture and creating an environment for driving both operational excellence and strategic innovation.
  • Able to operate in an unstructured, fast-paced, and team environment. Must show resilience and can filter out noise to address highest priorities.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, with a blend of analytical skills, pragmatism, and strategic vision.
