Posted by:Active: TodayWe are looking for a nanny to help us fill in the gaps for childcare for our 2 children (ages 6 months and 3 years) as we have 1 parent with a shift work schedule and 1 parent who occasionally travels for work. We live in NW Calgary, near a bus route and a train station, and would be flexible for a live-in/live-out nanny (a university student might fit!). Our son (3) is in daycare for full days 2x per week and in preschool for 5 hours, 1x per week. It's our infant daughter that would need occasional care. The shift worker has a rotating schedule of 24-hour shifts and unfortunately does not have the same 2 days off each week. That being said, we do know the dates they will be off for the next 10 years. The other parent occasionally works out of the city and will need the occasional coverage overnight. Ideally, we'd love for the candidate to have a driver's license and prospectively a car but again, we're flexible. In terms of salary, we might be able to exchange a room for services, again, we're flexible. We're new to this and not even sure what this could look like - we're open to finding the right fit with the right candidate. We are a non-smoking household and own a dog. Our dog is a big goofy guy and very friendly. If you are a dog lover, and would enjoy walking him - there's an option for that too! We won't expect you to do house work, just some light cleaning and we can tackle the kiddo's laundry.
