Job DetailsJob Location: 7743 Coconut Grve Grnd Ave - Coconut Grove, FLPosition Type: Full TimeSalary Range: UndisclosedDescriptionYour Purpose:The Facilities Technician I is responsible for the operation and maintenance of clubs in designated region. They monitor operations daily. They oversee systems that include heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, equipment functioning and repair and electrical systems.At YouFit we believe showing up is what we do. Results happen.What You will do:Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, plumbing, painting, changing light bulbs, window/door/wall repairs and small electrical issuesRepairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixturesMaintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properlyApplying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problemsFixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuriesFollows work assignments to fulfill maintenance service requests on production and facilities equipmentPerforms monthly preventive maintenance, safety, and cleaning duties on all site locationsPerforms other related duties as assignedOccasionally ascending/descending a standard ladder to service equipmentOccasional heavy lifting up to 70 lbsPerforms monthly OSHA safety checks as required on the OSHA / PM guidelinesHas been trained in and follows all OSHA, company and Facilities department safety guidelines dailyTravel to facilities in designated region - Must live in the Miami regionWhat You will bring to the team:Friendliness, generosity and compassionTeam player and be willing to jump into any task and get it doneMust be highly organized and able to handle a multi-task environmentMinimum formal education, experience and training: High school graduate or equivalent plus 3 years of experience in routine maintenance and repair of production equipmentStrong mechanical and electronics background. Ability to read prints, schematics and diagrams. Ability to test equipment including pressure gauges, voltmeters and ammeters.Materials used: Chemicals, lubricants, coolants, solvents, steel, building materials.Tools used: Hand tools, voltmeter, welder, cutting torch, grinders, and drills.Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problemsElectrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricityCarpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the buildingInterpersonal skills to interact with employees or members in a pleasant mannerAttention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlookedWorking Conditions: Generally modern, well lighted and clean working environment.
