RaceTrac Company OverviewJob Description:The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair up to 40 RaceTrac convenience stores in a designated region.This individual is responsible for maintaining Building HVAC, Refrigeration Walk-Ins and reach ins and sealed system repairs on Yogurt Machines, Ice Makers, and Frozen Carbonated Beverage Units.The HVAC/R Technician is also responsible for reporting any maintenance or repair needs found at the location via Service Channel and to their Regional Service Manager.Responsibilities:
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing light commercial roof top units ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Perform repairs and installation on HVAC/R equipment and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, walk in refrigeration/freezer units.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
  • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
  • Assisting with customers' queries.
Qualifications:
  • HVAC, HVAC/R skillset desired
  • Universal EPA Certification required.
  • Ability to work from 6am through 7pm
  • Good driving record
  • 2+ years work experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
  • Ability to read commercial wiring schematics
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
  • Ability to use power tools and hand tools
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and outside conditions.
  • Ability to use ladders safely.
