- Review underground electrical work orders, jobs in progress and completed work to ensure conformance with project policies and standards.
- Review work orders to determine accuracy of schedule dates, trenching responsibility and permit restrictions instructions.
- Meets with developers and other utilities to establish construction requirements schedules and advises of potential problems, changes and/or inspections.
- Ensures joint use of trench and/or trenching requirements with other utilities are met.
- Meets with project personnel to review construction changes, practice or feasibility, including material and applications of standards.
- Investigates and reports status of underground electrical distribution jobs for management approval.
- Investigates and files reports to claims department on property damage by others.
- Senior Inspector trains underground facility locators and Inspector 1's.
- Senior Inspector opens and inspects energized transformers, fusing cubicles and switching cubicles.
- Participates in departmental and other meetings and represents the project in meetings with contractors, developers and other utilities.
- Performs coordinating and locating functions as required.
Three years equivalent or related experience as a Journeyman in an electrical trade, Designer, Electrical Trades Helper, Engineering Technician, Scheduler/Planner or Underground Facility Locator. Plus a minimum of 2 years equivalent experience as a level one Underground Electrical Inspector or comparable experience as a Journeyman in an electrical trade, or Designer.Inspector 1:
Three years equivalent or related experience as a journeyman in an electrical trade, Designer, Electrical Trades Helper, Engineering Technician, Scheduler/Planner or Underground Facility Locator.EducationMinimum of 15 college credits (100+) from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.Hybrid WorkplaceSRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week.
