GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for performing complex accounting needs of North American Stainless.
Including preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing accounts, property tax filings,
lease reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting
policies and procedures for North American Stainless.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversees general accounting process, multi-currency, property and miscellaneous taxes, and
financial statement preparation for NAS to meet company, regulatory and government
requirements.2. Responsible for preparation, consolidation and distribution of financial statements for all
NAS Group Companies. Ensures financial statements are accurate. Ensures timely
reporting of monthly financial data to parent company.3. Performs monthly variance analysis on financial results.4. Assists the fixed asset accountant who is responsible for maintaining the fixed asset and
accumulated depreciation ledgers for book and tax purposes, as well as analyzing
construction in process. Position also responsible for sales and use tax filings for the
company.5. Reviews and assists in posting for the accounts payable staff who are responsible for
processing supplier invoices, back-charges, and payments.6. Coordinates more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of
accounting and other departments.7. Ensures compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.8. Consults with NAS's external auditors, NAS's internal general counsel and other outside
consultants as necessary.9. Reviews financial accounting entries necessary for accounts payable accruals, amortization,
capitalized interest and salaries, fixed assets placed in-service, depreciation and NAS
Mexico10. Reviews all capital and expense policies and procedures to ensure compliance by accounts
payable, fixed asset accounting and other departments as it relates to accounting.11. Assists with the direction and proper expense coding of general ledger entries and accounts
payable vouchers.12. Assists in preparation of NAS's semi-annual and annual Financial Reporting Packages
prepared for the parent company.13. Ensures the financial reporting system is performing properly and all modules are in balance
without integrity issues. Reviews, investigates and corrects system issues. Works closely
with IS department and Oracle to resolve system integrity issues.14. Responsible for system set up for new functionality as it pertains to general accounting,
accounts payable, fixed assets and multi-currency.15. Reviews and updates leases in the lease software to ensure proper accounting entries
recorded in the general ledger for right of use assets as outlined in GAAP guidance ASC
842.16. Prepares and reviews lease schedules for IFRS 16 compliance for reporting to Spain.17. Prepares and reports on property taxes for Kentucky and other States.SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

2. Participation in continuous improvement programs.MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business
3+ years of General Accounting experience a plus
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelPHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required
to sit.- The employee is frequently required to use computer keyboard and
calculator.- Visual ability with or without correction.- Communication abilities.
