This role is part of the Operations organization and reports to the Director of Program Development, but works cross-functionally with the Sales organization on a regular basis.Role and Responsibilities
  • Create preliminary designs and site markups for commercial solar projects tailored to the needs of the subject property.
  • Collaborate with our Project Management and Partner teams, and externally with our contractors, to ensure design optimization and accuracy.
  • Support our Sales organization and its high-volume pipeline with timely deliverables.
  • Update and confirm project financial model inputs.
  • Evaluate equipment and vendors for use in system designs.
  • Review technical design documents for system interconnection applications, including but not limited to single-line diagrams, site layouts, and electrical tap drawings.
  • Maintain records of design parameters, assumptions, and templates.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong work-ethic, ambition, and drive to succeed.
  • Enthusiasm for renewable energy and solar, with a desire to build a long-term career in this industry.
  • College degree from a four-year institution with a major in engineering, science, sustainability, environment, or similar technical discipline.
  • Authorized to work in the US for any employer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in renewable energy.
  • Prior experience with solar design software such as Helioscope, Aurora, PVsyst, etc.
  • Sense of humor, with an ability to remain upbeat in a fast-paced startup work environment.
