- Understand the company's strategy, identify enterprise-wide talent management needs, and develop methodologies to develop and retain internal Lam talent
- Drives the executive talent management process including talent assessment, succession planning and high touch talent development for key critical roles
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the development programs in terms of substance, impact, cost and end results. Provide performance measures to evaluate effectiveness to drive strategic process improvements across the talent management function
- Provide regular management reports summarizing progress towards key metrics and identify trends that have an impact on the business
- Engage key stakeholders to ensure that there is consistency of standards and approach to assessing and developing talent at Lam Research
- Lead, coach and communicate effectively to build strong partner relationships to successfully manage performance of global talent management team. Establish effective working relationships with the regional talent management team members and provide guidance to business leadership on successful succession and development strategies
- Partner with HR and the Global Head of Talent Acquisition to align executive recruitment with the succession planning and bench strength development efforts
- Be a significant contributor to the Global HR Leadership Team through effective partnering to drive business growth
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- The ideal candidate will have 10-plus years of human resources experience with significant experience (8-10-plus years) in managing a talent management function in a medium to large sized global organization. Experience in broad learning and development is a plus, but emphasis is placed on executive talent management, succession planning and talent management architecture
- Experience working in highly complex technology industry; experience in the semiconductor industry experience is preferable
- Experience leading a Global Talent Management function bringing together various regions into a cohesive approach; experience in Asia preferred
- Prowess handling multiple projects, prioritizing and acting with a sense of urgency
- Excellent customer relationship management and consultation skills, including influencing and collaboration.
- Demonstrated success developing and implementing talent management strategies and C-level engagement on talent strategies.
- A creative, strategic thinker who challenges the status quo and fosters unique, but practical approaches to talent management taking into account best practices
- Be coachable and open to embracing new ways of doing things
- Outstanding communication skills and teamwork
- Understanding how to balance strategy and business acumen to best invest resources and maximize impact
- An empowered self-starter able to work without significant oversight and follow through to impactful execution with both high touch programs and scalable data driven solutions
