- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for residential construction projects.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to determine project-specific material requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and track usage to prevent shortages and minimize waste.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain relationships to ensure reliability and quality of materials.
- Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, and pricing fluctuations.
- Previous experience in purchasing or procurement within the residential construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with purchasing software or ERP systems is preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
