- Provide technical assistance and support to CO during construction.
- Observe daily construction activities to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications; knowledgeable in interpreting plans and specifications and resolve differences
- Arrange, attend and facilitate a variety of meetings, including weekly meetings at the project site.
- Perform quality assurance activities such as coordinating, reading plans and specifications, monitoring, documenting, reporting on construction contractor quality control activities and construction safety, progress, and testing.
- Inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress, workmanship, quality and conformance with contract documents, applicable building codes and safety standards.
- Track and manage project funds, submittal tracking and coordination with the COR and other government field personnel concerning activities, modification and claim activities, plan and specification review for the construction of levees, revetments and various structures, the construction and/or repair of various structures, drainage structures and channels, temporary roofing, debris removal, and remediation.
- Provide technical expertise related to structural steel erection, painting, masonry, site work, interior finishes, roofing, electrical, mechanical, civil, and examination of welds, NFPA Life Safety Code, testing, Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW), and other expertise/service related to construction for both civil and military projects.
- Submit a daily report of the work to reflect the quality assurance activities performed with notations as to work delays and causes thereof recorded in the Resident Management System (RMS) or compatible format.
- The work week will be Monday-Friday at 10 hours per day.
- Physically capable of walking over rough terrain and standing long period of time.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction or 6 or more years of experience in remediation of hazardous waste involving EPA Superfund sites
- Minimum of OSHA 30-hour construction safety training required.
- Minimum of OSHA HAZWOPER 40 hours training required.
- Written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of software including Microsoft Project, Word, PDF, MS Teams, Excel, Oracle Primavera Project or equivalent scheduling software, review submittals, RFI's, and transmission of digital progress photos.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
