Job Description:Main responsibilities of the position:
  • Assurance of compliance with paint quality measurables
  • 95% Quality rate / Good parts at first time
  • 2.5% Rework
  • 1.5% Repaint
  • 1% Scrap
  • Down time due to scheduled stoppages
6º min per day * Set Up different lines 1 and 2 of paint
  • Adherence to Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Freeze paint application parameters according to GES 1140
  • Propose continuous improvement actions through the use of Lean tools
  • Give follow-up and feedback by checkpoint and send feedback
  • Perform paint inspection after baking
  • Identify material finish good, scrap, rework
  • Maintain continuous contact with all areas to propose improvements in the process and quality of painted products using paint quality tools such as:
  • Ishikawa diagram, 5 Why's, 8 Disciplines looking for root cause, containment and define the contremesures .
  • Ensuring compliance with the daily schedule of the painting process.
Main job-specific requirements / skills:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Intermediate English skills
  • Strong experience in painting
  • Knowledge of handling and flow of painted materials to assembly.
  • Experience as Leader
  • This painting position requires the ability to perform all essential tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Advanced Excel, ERP skills.
  • 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, heavy equipment or aerial work with construction platforms.
  • Knowledge in lean manufacturing, production, quality, laboratory, handling of painted materials and their different flows to assembly.
  • Paint ware house management.
  • Labor conflict resolution for administrative and unionized personnel.
  • Knowledge of GES 1140.
