City of San Bernardino at 909-384-5104.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvides courteous and expeditious customer service to the general public and City department staffs.Assists in organizing, leading, teaching and conducting recreation activities such as arts and crafts, games, team sports, dancing, drama, community singing and informal musical activities at parks, playgrounds and community centers.Assists in planning, coordinating and scheduling youth sports leagues, tournaments, shows, socials, dances, excursions, exhibits, special events and continuing programs, and a comprehensive recreation program for all ages.Assists in coaching and refereeing athletic games; ensures that safety precautions are observed and administers first aid; issues, receives and oversees the use of equipment and materials, including baskets and identification for swimmers' clothing.Cares for or supervises the care and maintenance of playground, athletic, arts and crafts equipment and materials and public swimming pool areas; attends in-service training programs.Routinely adheres to and maintains a positive attitude towards City and Department goals; and performs other related work as required. When Assigned to the Aquatics Division, collect and process swim lesson registration and admission fees, enforce pool rules, regulations, and facility policies; assist in planning aquatic programs, and special events; care for the maintenance of aquatic's facility and rescue equipment.Minimum Qualifications1.) Ability to read and write. No experience is required.
2.)
