  • Coordinate and supervise accounting for income taxes in the US and subsidiaries including review of required footnote disclosures
  • Responsible for all monthly, semester-end and year-end tax reporting to parent corporation
  • Responsible for semester-end and year-end audit by Mazars of book tax accounts
  • Responsible for completion of federal, international and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support
  • Responsible for federal and state income tax audits
  • Responsible for use and property tax functions
  • Responsible for state and local indirect tax audits (use and property taxes)
  • Responsible for transfer pricing and management fee arrangements in relation with Group Tax department
  • Supervise professional tax staff and external service providers
  • Liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues
  • Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes
  • Identify inefficiencies and develop continuous process improvements
  • Provide techincal tax advice to Corporate and to operational North America Divisions on tax matters (M&A, tax incentives …) and carry our feasibility analysis on tax planning ideas
  • Lead US tax team involvment in restructurings and planning initiatives in collaboration with Group Tax Department as required
  • Departmental liaison with IT staff on all technical matters relating to tax applications
Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
  • Maintain a valid Certified Public Accounting license (required)
  • Master’s Degree in Business Taxation or Juris Doctor (preferred)
  • 15+ years combined experience in both public accounting and tax department of a global corporation with supervisory experience
  • Advanced knowledge of tax acounting principles, IRS regulations, and R&D tax credit incentives and issues
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • SAP experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, research and report writing skills with the ability to evaluate and articulate complex information
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
