OverviewReality LA is a non-denominational, Gospel-centered church located in Hollywood, California. We are looking to hire a part-time social media manager.Role SummaryThe social media manager's role is to communicate the church's vision and mission through various social media channels, seeking to encourage the church body, invite others to join in, and celebrate the Lord's work in our church, individual communities, and city.Position Details

  • Salaried or hourly: hourly
  • Hourly Rate: $23-$25/hour
  • Full-time or part-time: Part-time
  • Reports to: Communications Director
RequirementsSpecific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage Reality LA’s social media accounts (primarily Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
  • Create social media campaign proposals for events and sermon series
  • Develop a monthly calendar of social media posts
  • Compile and share engaging content in collaboration with the Communications team
  • Answer church inquiries received through social media platforms or connect inquirer to an elder/deacon/staff who can answer
  • Photograph Sunday gatherings and events for social media and web
  • Utilize volunteer photographers within the church for event coverage
  • Compile quarterly analytics for both web and social media
  • Adhere to the Reality LA style and voice guide
  • Develop and propose long-term creative goals to improve Reality LA’s social media, in line with the church vision and mission
Qualifications
  • Love for Jesus and his church
  • Agreement with the statement of faith, theology, and philosophy of Reality LA
  • Character and lifestyle of a deacon as described in Scripture
  • Love for ministry in an urban context and for the city of Los Angeles
  • 2+ years of social media coordination experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred
Knowledge and Skills
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Experience leveraging social media and analytics tools
  • Strong technical skills with photography and Lightroom
  • Staying current with technologies and trends in social media
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Capacity to work in a highly collaborative environment as well as independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Eagerness to serve with humility, generosity, and kindness
  • Adaptability to growth and change
