TITLE: Dual Enrollment AdvisorSECTION: Student Affairs/ Enrollment ServicesHIRING SALARY: $40,308.22 - $44,145.62 annually; salary calculations will start the minimumHOURS: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday – FridayCONTACT: Human Resources (850) 201-8510 or via email atMAJOR FUNCTION: The Dual Enrollment Advisor is housed within the Enrollment Services Division and will report to the Dual Enrollment Coordinator. The Dual Enrollment Advisor is responsible for independent and specialized work in the academic recruitment, advisement, registration, orientation and related functions for the dual enrollment student population.Primary duties will include, but are not limited to:Recruits dual enrollment students. Maintains dual enrollments website.As it relates to dual enrollment: Coordinates registration with high school guidance counselors; registering dual enrollments students; advising dual enrollment students, assisting dual enrollment students with educational and career planning; discussing academic progress and program study with dual enrollment students; developing individual learning plans with dual enrollment students; maintaining integrity of dual enrollment permission to register forms; monitoring withdrawals and schedule changes for dual enrollment students; filing dual enrollment paperwork;. Updating dual enrollment portal files; facilitating and maintaining home education agreements and other dual enrollment duties as assigned.This position is primarily for dual enrollment, however there are several occasions that the dual enrollment advisor has availability to assist with duties relating to recruitment, advising, campus tours etc. for non-dual enrollment students, and any other duties as deemed necessary by the direct supervisor.Serves on departmental and college committees.MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: A master’s degree in counseling, education or a related area from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of related experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related area from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of related experience.SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING: A strong commitment to the mission of the community college. Demonstrated knowledge of the dual enrollment and community outreach functional areas and the administration of such functions. Demonstrated knowledge of principles and processes for delivering class‐leading customer services. This includes student needs assessment, establishing quality standards and metrics for services, and the evaluation of customer satisfaction. Demonstrated knowledge of the planning, implementation and monitoring of budgets in an educational environment. Demonstrated knowledge of the rules, regulations and principles of the FLDOE, as well as other state and federal laws and regulations regarding financial aid. Demonstrated excellent administrative, communication, interpersonal skills. Demonstrated organizational skills in handling and directing multiple and complex assignments and projects. Skill in working effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus. Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.Problem solving skills and the ability to lead, instruct, handle a large variety of details and to work with all levels of organization. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with students, college employees and the public. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and other groups, as needed. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the community. Ability to handle sensitive and extensive confidential data. Problem solving skills and the ability to lead, instruct, handle a large variety of details and to work with all levels of organization. Proficient in the use of e‐mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software and use of the Internet to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others. High level of energy and good sense of humor with the capacity for extraordinary time and effort demands.
