Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist oversees the full-cycle recruitment and employee onboarding process and is responsible for managing benefits programs, as well as leave requests and workers' compensation administration.HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, engaging with candidates from the screening phase through offer negotiations. Responsibilities include collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to attract, recruit, and select talented, innovative, mission-minded individuals with a passion to reach people with the compassion of Christ.
  • Manage employee onboarding process and ensure new hires receive a smooth onboarding experience. Ensure new hires complete all mandatory compliance trainings.
  • Manage employee benefits programs and work closely with benefits broker/ administrator to process new and current employee enrollments, manage qualifying life events, resolve benefits-related inquiries, manage billing and claims processing, and ensure compliance with company benefit policies and procedures.
  • Perform audits, as needed, on benefits information in the HRIS and benefits management system to ensure the integrity of the information.
  • Oversee the Leave of Absence process and serve as the subject matter expert for Federal and State leave programs under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership. Have a thorough understanding of state paid family leave laws and their interplay with company benefits.
  • Oversee the return-to-work process and maintain effective communication with employees returning from extended FMLA, workers compensation, or other leaves.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of Workers Compensation and work closely with claims adjusters and supervisors to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal/State/Local laws and company policy.
  • Perform computer data entry and file maintenance, and maintain confidential files, documents, lists, and databases.
  • Administers New hiring and Terminating Process.
  • Handles all Account Receivables for the Human Resources Department.
  • Verifies employment and wage garnishments, as needed.
  • Conducts other tasks and projects as assigned by the VP of HR.

RequirementsHUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURES:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, preferred, or related field, or advanced certification.
  • Proven experience as an H.R (Human Resources). Generalist (five or more years).
  • A general understanding of payroll and accounting functions, specifically related to their interaction with Benefits.
  • Knowledge of leave and benefit concepts, laws, and regulations required.
HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft office - advanced level of proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
  • Ability to organize workload and work independently in a high-volume environment.
  • High degree of tact, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers and in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with managers and HR staff.
  • Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach and handle project leadership responsibilities.
