- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of industrial construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders throughout all project phases.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage project budgets, expenses, and financial forecasting, ensuring cost-effective project delivery.
- Identify potential risks and develop strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
- Foster effective communication among project team members, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Mentor and coach junior project management staff, contributing to their professional growth and development.
- Prepare and present project status reports and presentations to all stakeholders.
- Must be willing to travel. This position is up to 70% travel.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering industrial construction projects, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager. No residential candidates, please.
- Strong knowledge of industrial construction methodologies, project management techniques, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional project teams.
- Proficient in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressure.
- CMP or PMP certification is a plus.
- Applicant must live in or be willing to relocate to Birmingham, Alabama area.
