- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
- Utilizes insights to devise long-term strategies and tactics to ensure sustainable and profitable growth across Monro's tire category.
- Responsible for managing a team that ensures consistent and timely reviews of the retail footprint and supply and service levels of vendors in combination with the cost of products.
- Maintains a service grid and map with consistent reporting on improvement of product availability and turns of inventory.
- Consistent review of the distribution structure focused on pursuing a “Just in Time” support model.
- Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implement subsequent changes to processes.
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Review with the category management and marketing teams sources for stocking aligned brands and specific products with supply points. Focusing on stocking top movers and sourcing lower-level movers through supply points with reasonable service.
- Responsible for assisting with competitive shopping and maintaining a database on pricing to ensure Monro maintains accurate pricing on products and services on a geographical (market) basis.
- Work with supply points to develop a constant reverse logistics program reducing slow-moving inventory.
- Analyze consumer and industry data and trends
- Develop long-term strategies and tactics for the tire and parts categories
- Foster relationships and purchase programs with key suppliers - ensure Monro has the right tire, right time, right price, and at the right place to serve our guests
- Manage the Tire Product Screen to determine product positioning to optimize tire unit volume, price, and mix
- Analyze and update pricing programs for tire and parts categories
- Provide store teammates with sales and merchandising tools that support Monro's Good, Better, Best product screen methodology
- As warranted, expand assortments, fine-tune offerings, or develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure promotional activity and retail pricing supports guest traffic, conversion, and outlet loyalty
- Ensure program and vendor volume commitments are met within a framework of high service support for a frontline sell-out.
- Review and implementation of improvements to storefront involvement-allowing for needed products to be present without store manager involvement.
- Continually rationalize Category lines to maximize sales and margin opportunities
- Combining input from Senior Management, Category Management, Finance, and Marketing to source proper options to grow the availability of coop, margin, and sales through turns and volume improvement.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent experience in supply chain and vendor souring.
- Four or more years of distribution and vendor relationship experience.
- Two or more years in the auto parts, tires, or auto service industry.
- Ability to use MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and phone skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
