- Oversees the effectiveness of the security department to ensure the protection and well-being of residents, employees, and visitors of Masonic Village.
- Responsible for effective training, instruction, scheduling, and supervision of Security Guards' activities. Evaluates Security Guards' performances. Counsels and documents employees who are found in violation of Masonic Village's Personnel Policies. Conducts New Employee Orientation
- Maintains, calibrates, and operates equipment used for safety and environmental testing. Conducts safety and environmental inspections in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
- Collects, collates, and assesses safety, security and environmental data, and develops reports based on the data.
- Reviews Federal requirements for compliance with occupational safety and health regulations and recommends implementation programs to achieve compliance with standards.
- Conducts Fire drills and assists in fire evacuations. Compiles data in report form.
- Serves on committees, attends meetings as instructed by immediate supervisor.
- Minimum of two years supervisory or management position in safety, risk, environmental and/or security. Demonstrated leadership ability in relating to staff and management.
- Good deductive reasoning, documentation, and diplomacy skills. Excellent communication skills to all levels of staff.
- Pleasant and professional telephone manners.
- One to five years' experience in Security operations preferred.
- Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
- CPR certification required.
