- The Hardware Designer is responsible for the development of an assigned product or part of it, according to the development process.
- He/she is responsible for the hardware design (documented in schematics and BOM), and compliance of the assigned part of the project in quality, time and cost.
- He/she is part of the hardware project teams during product development.
- He/she reports to a Hardware Function Leader for workload and staff development, while for project activities to the Hardware Lead Designer and the project management for delivery of assigned tasks.
- Perform design, verification, and validation of analog, digital and power electronics for infotainment, telematics, cluster and display applications.
- Perform electronics circuit analysis, worst case design calculation, electrical simulation and delivers related reports.
- Perform customer requirement analysis and definition of the electronic part.
- Attend technical meetings with component supplier and with sourcing to analyze alternatives.
- Deliver electrical schematics design and BOM, product documentation, PCB layout specifications, verification, and electrical tests, according to hardware design guideline.
- Define the HW/SW interface of microcontroller/microprocessors working in collaboration with SW designer/System Architect.
- Contribute to FMEA/FTA/Functional safety system/product analysis.
- Impact analysis and risk evaluation of change request, modifications and PCN/PTN.
- Reports and documentation of electrical design, specification, implementation, verification and validation, according to the hardware design process.
- Support manufacturing particularly start of production.
- Delivery of the electronic hardware documentation/dossier in ePIM database.
- Assure applications of electronic lessons learnt and best practices.
Electrical schematics, design, BOM, PCB layout specifications, electrical simulation, Electronic circuit analysis. Experience in infotainment, cluster and displays.
