- Contribute to engineering and design efforts in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, process, and utility systems, making a significant impact on our projects' success.
- Demonstrate expertise in fire protection, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and utility systems, with knowledge and experience in High Purity, High Pressure Gas, and Ground Support Equipment systems being a valuable asset.
- Apply mechanical concepts including Psychometrics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Flow (compressible and incompressible) to deliver innovative and efficient designs.
- Utilize computer software such as Trane Trace, eQuest, and Microsoft Office, with familiarity in Microsoft Projects, AFT Arrow, Fathom, and Caesar considered advantageous.
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment while also excelling as an individual contributor, communicating effectively with colleagues throughout the organization.
- Interpret and implement design criteria from Basis of Design, field surveys, and code research, leveraging engineering principles to resolve challenges and tasks assigned.
- Develop and implement design criteria and system designs from conceptualization through detailed design and construction phases.
- Lead and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support in their daily responsibilities.
- Collaborate with team members across disciplines to coordinate distribution systems, investigate routing options, and determine equipment room layouts.
- Utilize design tools such as the Psychrometric Chart, Ductulator, and Pipe Flow for accurate system sizing and selection.
- Employ design drawing software including Revit, AutoCAD, and Creo Parametric (preferred) for precise and impactful designs.
- Perform system calculations, review shop drawing submittals, and conduct field verification visits to job sites when required.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-degree experience in Mechanical Engineering, showcasing your expertise in the field
- Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred. Will consider candidates with an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation
- Current/Active NCEES registration in good standing, highlighting your commitment to professional excellence
- Proficiency in REVIT for operational purposes, ensuring seamless collaboration within our team
- Previous experience in a MEP/FP firm in the Healthcare or Science/Technology sectors, demonstrating your industry-specific knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey complex ideas and collaborate with colleagues and clients
- U.S. citizenship, as this is a requirement for this position
- Strong organizational skills, including technical writing and time management, to produce high-quality documents, manage project files, and meet deadlines
