Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will focus on creating an environment that is safe, efficient, and high performing in production and quality. The Production Supervisor will display a high level of leadership and build an exceptional workforce using Marmon Renew Mission, Vision, and Values as the primary tools. Must be able to provide direction to employees, create an engaging and inclusive work environment, and hold team accountable. This position engages cross-functionally with other departments such as Quality, Safety, Sales, Engineering, or Finance.ssential Duties and Responsibilities:This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.Develop and mentor the production employees to create an exceptional workforce, including employee training and coaching.Responsible for hiring decisions, addressing performance concerns, issuing disciplinary actions, complete performance reviews, or leading other difficult conversations when necessary.Prioritize and give work direction that fits the needs of the business and customers.Work with other departments to address concerns around production or quality.Conduct scoreboard meetings regarding Quality and Safety.Follow and enforce safety expectations and rules with team.Complete required daily paperwork and administrative tasks.Support productions with hands on work, when necessary, in areas as needed to Operate small hand, air, and electric tools.Travel is required occasionally for regional field work or to pick-up parts, tooling, or other products in emergency situations.Required Qualifications, Skills/Competencies:High school diploma or general education degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting.Preferably a minimum of 1-year supervising and leading a team, including experience giving work direction and holding employees accountable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.Ability to work individually and well with others.Strong computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.Must be a self-starter, possess organizational skills and be able to prioritize work.Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.Working Conditions: Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The hours of work will be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week but may vary according to special projects, deadlines, or other concerns. Work is typically performed on a bench and may include walking or standing for most of the time.
