- Responsible for soldering electronic components into assemblies following J-STD-001 workmanship processes.
- Perform a visual inspection of PCBs to lPC-A-6 l0 criteria.
- Assemble components and housing units in Client ordnance with routes, visual aides, change notices (CNs), and deviations.
- Installs hardware such as screws, washers, nuts, and bolts, bending and trimming leads. Operate a Windows PC to access job documentation (visual aid, route, etc.) and maintain required logs.
- Perform a visual inspection of units for proper assembly, solder defects, damaged components, polarity, and orientation to ensure workmanship standards are met.
- Modify new and repaired units to the current revision per modification instructions.
- Follow safety rules and keep the work area in clean and orderly condition. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor. additional duties may apply
- Familiar with Manufacturing Processes and Workmanship Standards.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to use various hand, air, and soldering tools.
- Ability to identify electronic components.
- Ability to frequently lift/carry products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use manual dexterity and basic mathematics.
- Ability to work with a microscope and other magnification devices as needed.
- Ability to work with others and with minimum supervision.
- This position requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow directions.
- Must complete soldering training course and pass soldering proficiency test.
- Ability to maintain hourly run rates in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Math Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training Electronic component identification training.
- Through-hole solder training.
