Overview:The Global Demand Center (GDC) in the Cloud Marketing Group is spearheading Microsoft's marketing transformation for its largest and fastest-growing commercial cloud businesses. We are seeking a Social Media Lead to drive brand love, engagement and ultimately the purchase of Microsoft cloud services within the Cloud and Industry lines of business with a special focus on our Edu audience.Our social team delivers value to our customers by establishing connections and meaningful engagements across blogs and social media. We oversee one of the world's largest social media ecosystems, encompassing multiple commercial cloud products such as Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, Security, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Viva, and Windows 365. This role specifically will run the Cloud, Industry, and Edu social channels.The Social Media Lead - Cloud and Industry will be responsible for managing the social media strategy and calendar for Industry, Cloud, and Edu. This lead will partner closely across the other social leads and provide guidance as to what should be shared for regional audiences across Cloud, Industry, and Edu.This role will also work closely with various cross-functional leads, including the GDC integrated marketing teams, programming & ecosystem leads, operations, community management, analytics, community management, creative, Product Marketing, and more.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.   • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ year(s) integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
  • OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ year(s) integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Social channel management in corporate setting
  • Comfortable presenting to senior-level leadership
  • Previous agency experience
  • Familiar with Sprinklr and other social media tools.
  • Experience managing complex editorial calendars.
  • Possesses a customer-centric mindset, prioritizing the audience's needs.
  • Experience in project management, navigating varying priorities, tight timelines, organizational alignment, measurement, and accountability.
  • Natural leadership qualities, capable of helping, educating, and influencing stakeholders, vendors, and agencies.
  • Skilled in collaborating with senior executives.
  • Possess storytelling, creative, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity with persistent drive, guiding workgroups towards consensus and meaningful outcomes.
