- Install and modify equipment at customer sites, ensuring functionality meets specifications.
- Conduct comprehensive tuning and setup encompassing mechanical, electrical, electronic, and optical aspects.
- Evaluate machine performance to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Independently diagnose and resolve equipment issues, ensuring prompt resolution or clear communication of plans and costs.
- Enhance operational efficiency through problem-solving and preventive maintenance efforts.
- Collaborate with engineering to improve work instructions and assist in document creation.
- Maintain proactive communication with sales leadership, identifying sales opportunities and addressing customer concerns.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support training of new Field Service Engineers.
- Address and escalate customer complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
- Advocate for customer needs to improve products, systems, and services, including providing customer training as required.
- Proficiency in electronics/electrical assembly and wiring, with a strong understanding of technical procedures and regulations.
- Excellent customer support skills and communication in English.
- Preferably a degree or certification in relevant engineering fields (Field Service, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
- Comfortable working in varied environments including food plants and facilities with extreme temperatures.
- Experience in field service, PC building, repair, and software installation.
- Basic knowledge of circuits, test equipment, computer hardware, and MS Office.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, perform physical tasks, and work in confined spaces.
- No major food allergies.
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have unrestricted driving ability in the country of residence.
