Location: Boston, MAA leading Investment Management firm is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to join their firm here in Boston. w.Position Overview: The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and a passion for uncovering investment opportunities. As an Equity Research Analyst, you will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth analysis of companies and industries, generating investment ideas, and providing actionable recommendations to portfolio managers and clients.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough research and analysis of companies within the Biotech sector.Build and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and valuation.Perform industry analysis to identify key trends, competitive dynamics, and investment risks.Monitor macroeconomic indicators and market developments to assess their impact on investment opportunities.Collaborate with portfolio managers and other research team members to generate investment ideas and develop investment theses.Prepare and present research reports, investment recommendations, and presentations to internal stakeholders and clients.Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to inform investment decisions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; CFA or MBA preferred.2+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or related field.Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and investment theses clearly and persuasively.Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for financial markets and investment analysis.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet).
