The Apple Watch system validation team is looking for individuals with real passion and innovation for shipping exceptional consumer products. You are someone with a strong automation background, exposure to computer hardware, willing to be hands-on with debugging efforts, and able to work expertly with multiple engineering teams to close a list of critical tasks and improve our design quality. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deep-dive into technical issues, develop and maintain validation automation architecture, and help mitigate project risks while helping engineer long-term innovation.Key Qualifications Key Qualifications
  • Strong programming skills in Python
  • Experience with BSD / Unix-Like operating system
  • Exposure to computer architecture/VLSI
  • Shipped multiple hardware projects, possessing basic electrical engineering fundamentals for understanding hardware design
  • Strong passion for quality assurance in software and hardware, including experience in finding, investigating, and fixing bugs
  • Experience with Git and codebase management
  • Team collaborator with excellent interpersonal communication skills who thrives in a demanding cross-functional environment
  • Critical thinker who is detail-oriented and innately curious
Description Description- Cross-functional collaboration to design, develop, and implement system tests to stress prototype hardware and ensure product quality. - Timely execution of rack test plan, working with System EE, Program Management, and Module teams to define and prioritize execution. - Driving debug efforts with HW, SW, Silicon, and module teams for issues found during rack testing as well as issues related to rack infrastructure. - Custom script development to enable failure analysis and improve factory test coverage. - Stress rack improvement and maintenance.Education & Experience Education & ExperienceBS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, with a minimum of three to five years of experience
