Job Description:Your RoleThe Core Account Service Team is responsible for the retention of existing membership and the pursuit of new business within the medium to large business segment. The Senior Account Service Representative will report to the Senior Service Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day relationships within your book of business. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for membership growth and retention. If there are any escalated issues or a need for special initiatives, you will be the point person for BSC.Your WorkIn this role, you will:
  • Facilitate open enrollment/client/health fair meetings and provide in-depth responses to client questions utilizing basic understanding of BSC and BSC product value propositions based on member preferences (contributions, how they use the plan)
  • Tailor value proposition during open enrollment / client meetings based on their specific value drivers using strong understanding of BSC products
  • Use thorough understanding of developments in the healthcare market (healthcare reform, state and local healthcare legislation, new entrants, customer need shifts); understand how they may impact competitors' benefit offering and member eligibility
  • Build strong relationships with key client contacts and be able to report client specific trends
  • Develop service plans to drive member engagement throughout the year
  • Use basic understanding of processes that involve other functional groups: Eligibility, Reporting and Analytics, Installation and Billing, Underwriting, Marketing, Markets, HCQA, Networks Team to complete back-office tasks and solve operational problems impacting members
  • Troubleshoot escalated member issues with little oversight
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced team members
  • Work with Account Executives to develop service plans for assigned book of business
  • Strategize with Sales Executives on developing relationships with assigned brokers and consultants
  • Share best practices and identify areas for process improvement
Qualifications:Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 4 years related experience
  • Requires a current Life Agent License with California Department of Insurance or ability to acquire within the first 90 days of employment to maintain employment
  • Requires a valid California driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
  • This is a hybrid position with the need to travel to external meetings as needed
  • Excellent presentation skills both virtual and in-person required
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 80300.00 to $ 128590.00 for California.Note:
Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade.
