  • Manages day-to-day workload on assigned brands with oversight from Managing Editor
  • Independently edits digital and print projects for clarity, consistency, flow, organization, grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, AMA style, and client style
  • Recognizes issues with process/quality, and raises them with Managing Editor
  • Ensures projects comply with feedback from each client’s medical/legal/regulatory team
  • Fact checks annotations and references to ensure accuracy of each project
  • Creates and maintains style guide(s) for assigned brand(s)
  • Attends brand status meetings to keep track of day-to-day and upcoming work, and raises bandwidth concerns with Managing Editor, as needed
  • Attends kickoff meetings for individual brands and reviews project rundowns with Managing Editor prior to those kickoffs to ensure any Editorial concerns are addressed and timelines are accurate
  • Embody the spirit of a team player, assisting other editors with their brands when time allows and building strong working relationships with teammates across the agency
Experience:
  • At least 2 years of agency experience
  • Strong understanding of AMA style
  • Familiarity with FDA pharma marketing guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently day-to-day with oversight from Managing Editor as needed
  • Understanding of internet-based proofing software a plus (ProofHQ, Ziflow, etc)
  • Strong grasp of technology and ability to pivot/adapt to new tech as needed
The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
