- Conduct comprehensive O&M inspections and troubleshooting, including system diagnostics, to effectively resolve issues and triage maintenance needs.
- Perform essential annual preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and longevity of solar PV & Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Execute equipment repairs, replacements, and necessary maintenance to maintain system reliability and efficiency.
- Manage the warranty RMA process, including coordination with manufacturers and vendors.
- Perform milestone inspections during the construction of commercial and industrial solar PV and energy storage systems and assist with transition of projects to O&M.
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes, industry standards, and company quality protocols.
- Deliver detailed reports on system performance, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Support the development and refinement of quality control processes to enhance installation and O&M standards.
- Work closely with internal teams to provide feedback on design improvements, material selection, and system performance optimization.
- Operate and maintain UAS drone for aerial inspections and data collection (Part 107 license preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Certified Electrician (Journeyman Level).
- Extensive experience testing and troubleshooting electrical systems up to the utility meter or interconnection point, including: Transformers (potential & current), breakers, relays, contactors, motors, and inverters.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in solar PV installations and O&M, with at least 5 years in rooftop commercial solar.
- Expertise in diagnosing system issues and analyzing performance data.
- Experience with solar commissioning and performance testing tools.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC compliance and solar industry standards.
- Proficiency with string inverters, monitoring platforms, and battery storage systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 60-80% travel to project sites across multiple regions. Primary territory will be Southern California.
- Flexibility for extended travel, including travel to other regions as company needs arise.
- NABCEP Certification (preferred but not required).
- Electrical or General Contracting License (a plus).
- Part 107 UAS drone pilot license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
