- Under the general supervision and direction of the Physician, Office Manager, or designee, and working collaboratively with patients and families (as defined by the patient), perform episodic illness visits and follow-up care visits [preventative care] which may require laboratory testing, radiology testing and/or immunizations.
- Formulate diagnosis based on clinical assessment and establish an appropriate/ timely treatment plan.
- Select and order appropriate medication for treatment of medical conditions.
- Review diagnostic tests and procedures ordered, as it relates to follow-up care.
- Utilize an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other related software to update and/or access patient information, as appropriate.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
- Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License is required.
- Advanced Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Certification required or to be achieved within first year of employment as an ONP.
- Minimum one year experience as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) required.
- One year experience as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
