- Rapidly formulate a differential diagnosis from assessments conducted within the clinic setting
- Interpretation of tests
- Counseling liaison to women's support group programs
- Will conduct breast exams, gynecological disease and treatments, including prenatal care; colposcopy; placement of IUD's and general OB/GYN office procedures
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients assigned within the primary care team
- Provide guidance to nursing personnel towards treatment plans and care issue
- Documents treatment plans in the medical record
- Documents collaborative guidance from the physician as needed
- Coordination of care for patient
- Master of Science degree in Nursing or Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- National Nurse Practitioner Certification in Women’s Health, Adult or Family and/or Certified Midwifery or Physician Assistant certification or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Unrestricted, active licensure in the State where this position is based, or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Current DEA or ability to obtain
- 1+ year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an OB/GYN or Women’s Health clinic setting
- Ability to perform colposcopy or ability to obtain training prior to beginning employment
- Intermediate level of technical proficiency in the use of computer programs for medical records or internet search for clinical practice
- Current NPI and/or PTAN number or ability to obtain
- Ability to communicate with patients, primary care team members and management staff
- Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
- Ability to formulate a differential diagnosis
- Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
