- Responsible for the care and physical well-being of program clients.
- Instruction and/or maintenance of basic activities of daily living to residents at the home
- Responsible for documentation requirements of staff while on duty.
- Responsible for program planning during on-duty hours, including recreational activities.
- Responsible for admission/discharge policies and procedures while on duty.
- Responsible for general upkeep of the home during on duty hours and reporting maintenance issues to appropriate individuals.
- Participation in the internal emergency on call system as needed.
- Attend staff meetings as scheduled
- Assist in the interviewing and orientation of assigned staff
- Participate in performance appraisals of assigned staff
- Attend program meetings as scheduled.
- Attend specified job related trainings for professional development as deemed appropriate by the Program Director
- Responsible for administering medications when serving as the shift supervisor.
- Perform other duties as required or directed.
- Maintain and monitor house and resident money/accounts while on duty.
- Complete orientation, mandatory in-service education and any other specific job related training as assigned.
- Renew all necessary certifications before expiration date.
- Obtain new certifications as necessary.
- Maintain open dialogue with the Program Director.
- Report all issues encountered while on duty to the Program Director in a timely manner.
- Interact with staff in a constructive and positive way.
- Provide high level of care to the individuals served, including but not limited to, safety, well being and dignity.
- Enhance the appearance of the home while on duty through general cleaning and upkeep.
- Review plans of care for current knowledge of programming as required by the Department of Children and Families, EEC, and/or other agencies.
- Flexibility with schedule and on-call responsibility.
- Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
- two- to four years related experience and/or training in treatment and/or management of at-risk trauma-exposed youth.
- Valid driver's license
- 21 years or older
- Ability to drive.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- May be exposed to communicable diseases.
- Annual influenza vaccination is mandatory.
- Must pass pre-employment Fit for Duty,
- Must be physically able to move sufficiently enough to respond to emergency situations.
