Design Your Future at PVHManager, Technical Design (Denim)- CALVIN KLEINPOSITION TITLE: Manager, Technical Design - DenimDEPT./DIVISION: Calvin Klein Global Supply ChainPOSITION REPORTS TO: Director, Technical DesignLOCATION: 205 W 39th StreetPOSITION SUMMARY.The Technical Design Manager – Denim provides specific technical support for Calvin Klein Supply Chain through strong technical proficiency, organization, and leadership on Denim. He or she is responsible in achieving correct fits and design details, developing new blocks, and calibrating existing blocks from design inception through Pre-production within the compliance calendar dates.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:Interact with Design and Merchandising during proto development to achieve design standards.Strong understanding of design intends related to fabrication, garment construction, and fit relationship.Supervise and participate in the creation and maintenance of all centric tech packs.Oversee the creation and maintenance block samples and proto to pre-production sample and sample status charts and reference books in conjunction with the compliance approval process.Direct/ Execute block, proto, and production fittings. Update all fit notes and revised size specs into Centric in a timely manner and pass to production team.Strong ability to clearly communicate pattern, spec, and fit changes through vendors.Ensure that all protos and samples are reviewed upon arrival for fit, trim and details.Supervise proto and sample review set up.Develop and set up in-house block library.Develop industry standard points of measurement, grade rules, and tolerances and set up in Centric.Understand washes and shrinkages on pattern base on fit and spec on Denim Jeans / Wash garments for Men’s and Women’s.Understand the denim stretch and growth and adjust the spec accordingly to maintain the fit consistency.Travel as needed to international offices or factories during the development or due to in-production issues.Support the non-denim category when the team overwhelming and need support.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Experience:10 years of related work experience; 3 years of experience as a manager5 years of denim specific experience in both men and women.Strong knowledge of pattern making and garment constructionEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in related fieldSkills:Strong organizational and follow-up skillsProfessional, mature person with command presenceExcellent interpersonal skillsProficiency in computer operating, centric preferable.Microsoft OfficeINTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:Internal: Design, Raw Material, Merchandising, and Sourcing teamsExternal: Hub tech, SCFTs & VendorsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Direct: Associate Technical DesignerIndirect: N/ABUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must work with design and Supply Chain teams to ensure maintain design integrity while ensuring that price guidelines are adhered to.DECISION MAKING:Seasonal execution.Budget decisions within the confines of a preset budget.Issue resolution in partnership with internal GSC Sourcing Teams / leadersProduct decisions for execution in the production pipeline.RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY: Must be solution-oriented and be willing and able to find creative solutions to complex problems.ENVIRONMENT: Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, if needed.This position is not eligible for sponsorship.#Hybrid#LI-AE1Pay Range:$95,000 - $125,000PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
