- Earned terminal degree or significant progress towards a terminal degree in Biology
- A commitment to and experience in teaching general biology and courses within one of the general, biomedical, and education tracks in a diverse undergraduate student environment
- A strong, demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, productive scholarly research, impactful service to the University community, and mentoring of undergraduate students
- Experience in integrating innovative approaches to promoting student success and developing an inclusive community in the classroom
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Experience working collaboratively with faculty from a wide range of disciplines, cultures and academic backgrounds
- Strong computer skills
- Experience teaching online
- Ability to teach at the Dobbs Ferry and Bronx campuses as needed
- Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to adjunct faculty
- Ability to actively participate in University, school, and department meetings
- Ability to complete other duties as assigned
- Must be able to push, pull, move, or lift to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per University policies.
