We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Officer to join our team. The Senior IT Officer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, managing IT infrastructure and systems, and providing technical support to end users. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the IT department, including system administration, network management, and technical support.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and help desk technicians.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security, reliability, and availability of IT systems and data.
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
- Ensure the security of IT systems and data through the implementation of cybersecurity measures, policies, and controls.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users, including hardware, software, and network issues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand IT requirements and provide technical solutions and recommendations.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to improve IT efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, including procurement, negotiations, and service level agreements.
- Stay current with IT trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- years of experience in IT roles, with a strong focus on system administration, network management, and technical support.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and other enterprise IT systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and analytically.
- Experience in managing and leading technical teams.
- Certification in relevant areas such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Network+ is a plus.
- Experience in industries such as technology, finance, healthcare, or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization, and cybersecurity.
- Strong project management skills and experience in leading IT projects and initiatives.
