OverviewThe Aggie Blue Bike Shop Hand has a number of important duties regarding customer service, organization, and maintenance. In addition to basic mechanic duties such as repairing bicycles and salvaging parts, the Shop Hand will help organize the space, perform maintenance and cleaning, and be in charge of repairing the kid's bikes that ABB donates to the community. The Shop Hand should have a positive attitude, be friendly, and be motivated to be at Aggie Blue Bikes.Responsibilities
  • Greet customers upon arrival
  • Assist with bicycle placement in stands
  • Record customer information, including the employee A#
  • Ensure mechanic availability
  • Teardown bicycles for donation or parts
  • Organize designated areas:
  • Military cabinet
  • Parts bins
  • Student parts
  • Toolboards
  • Meat Locker
  • Clean bicycles with pressure washer and cleaning tools
  • Carefully clean customer bicycles as well as ABB bicycles, being sure not to damage any bearing systems or cause any problems with the water
  • Perform basic repairs, including quick checks and 2-week checkups
  • Conduct safety checks on ABB and customer bicycles as needed
  • Manage ABB information table at events
  • Repair and prepare kid's bicycles for donation
  • Be the primary person in charge of fixing up kid's bicycles, ensuring they are safe and functional enough for ABB to donate
