- Responsible for the oversight of maintenance functions and workforce to include but not limited to:
- Responsible for reporting to the Director of Line Maintenance or Sr. Manager for maintenance activities; Routine and Non-Routine work. Organize and redirect manpower and logistics to ensure aircraft reliability for scheduled operation.
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safe work practices and policies including the proper wear of PPE. Conduct routine safety audits of assigned personnel and work areas.
- Manages and evaluates the performance of Station staff against measurable performance goals and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures all work performed is in accordance with HAL Policies and Procedures and Federal regulatory requirements. This includes and is not limited to:
- OEM Approved Technical Manuals (AMM, SRM, CMM, etc.)
- HAL Approved Manuals (GMM, MOPM, SPM, SPPM, GSM, JPM, etc.)
- Government regulations (FAA, OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Ensure that personnel are trained and that tools and materials are available to support the operations.
- Coordinates closely with Sr Manager - Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to monitor GSE condition, repair intervals, and usage to ensure availability to support operations.
- Proactively leads maintenance personnel to reach a goal of zero “0” 05 Delays.
- Ensures responsible management of the annual Line Maintenance budgets for assigned line stations. This includes and is not limited to:
- Budget development
- Expense tracking, approvals and reviews
- Strategize favorable budget adjustments.
- Review performance and cost of MX at the assigned Line stations
- Vendor performance
- Leads and manages Line Maintenance employees, balancing responsibilities to the company and employees.
- Manages performance goals and career development plans for maintenance personnel.
- Continuous improvement mindset to constantly evaluate and seek improvements in operational efficiencies in an ever-changing environment.
- Monitors production and looks for ways to increase productivity.
- Provides timely reporting to Maintenance Operations Control and Maintenance department leadership of the status of in-service aircraft, resource constraints, and other impediments to maximum availability of in-service aircraft.
- Manages overtime to meet company goal of less than 1%.
- Will coordinate and collaborate with Reliability, Engineering, and MOC to analyze and mitigate trends.
- Will provide oversight and ensure coordination and collaboration between Line Maintenance and Planning on daily/long-range work packages and unscheduled maintenance events.
- Will coordinate with Engineering and MOC to find the best possible resolution to return AOS/AOG aircraft back into service in a safe and timely manner.
- Will ensure that HAL property and equipment are maintained to the highest standard.
- Ensure that Coordinators, Lead Mechanics, and Mechanics are aligned with our department's vision, mission, and goals.
- Responsible for the professional growth and development of the Coordinators, Lead Mechanics, and Mechanics. This includes and is not limited to:
- Leadership training
- Enhanced technical training
- One-on-one coaching and mentoring
- Succession plan
- Will ensure administrative and disciplinary policies and procedures are enforced, this includes but not limited to:
- Ultipro - Daily timesheets, and vacation requests.
- ROCA’s
- CBA
- Employee Evaluations
- Rewards
- Budget
- Ensures all required training for HA and vendor technicians are complying to HA and Regulatory regulations, this includes and not limited to:
- Spotlight training
- Read & Signs
- Maintenance Tips
- Recurrent Training
- Other duties as assigned or directed
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Requires FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
- 3 years of experience managing direct reports
- Strong analytical and operational business skills
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Leadership ability with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Requires experience with building and maintaining a budget.
- Must be able to obtain a SIDA/AOA badge
- Valid driver’s license and passport is required
- B787, A321, and A330 experience preferred
- TRAX experience
- Experience in FAR part 121 and/or 135 operations
- College Degree with an emphasis in Aviation
