Essential Duties1. Plans and executes admission, financial aid, internship, and career services programs. Prepares and submits recommendations to admissions and financial aid committees. Plans and cultivates new corporate relationships to generate job opportunities both domestically and internationally. 2. Participates in long-range planning; recommends and contributes to the development of career services, financial aid, and admissions policies. 3. Provides guidance, advices and counseling on academic, admissions, financial , and career services matters to students and prospective students. Works with students, alumni and employers to identify existing and emerging employment opportunities. 4. Develops and analyzes statistical data to determine patterns and trends that impact and inform the direction of the admissions or financial aid. Conducts ongoing research on employment trends and evolving industry-specific recruiting and talent management needs. 5. Develops budgets and loan repayment schedules. 6. Develops systems for admissions and financial aid activities. Leads projects to continuously improve use of technology. 7. Writes publications to inform students of developments within financial aid and admissions offices. 8. Organizes and conducts corporate presentations, networking nights, and career fairs. Guide employers in developing and executing on-and off campus strategies for attracting University talent. 9. Supervises and trains a staff of exempt and non-exempt employees. 10. Working in collaboration with faculty directors, they will design and implement processes to ensure compliance with institutional mandates, LCME accreditation, and Title IX standards. The Manager also plays a pivotal role in facilitating program design, assessment, management, oversight and the communication of policies and procedures.Principal Responsibilities: Develop and implement mechanisms for central oversight of clerkships, subinternships and electives, focusing on the areas of timeliness of electives, subinternships, away electives, and global health elective evaluations. Design and implement oversight processes for mid-rotation feedback in clerkships, electives, and subinternships to ensure timely and effective student feedback and ensure we meet LCME guidelines. Establish and execute a system for collecting Clerkship Logbook data across the eight clerkship components every six weeks. Develop strategies to integrate this process with new technology for student portfolio/dashboard under development. Design and implement a reporting mechanism to collect and disseminate information for the purpose of comparing clinical sites to meet LCME standards. Conduct regular reviews of the eight Clerkship Components every two years to ensure their alignment with educational objectives and standards. Follow up with recommendations to ensure their completion. Facilitate the review of 140 electives, subinternships, non-clinical electives, and YSM seminars every two years, ensuring their compliance with institutional requirements. Implement all centrally collected data into a new user management system taking responsibility for planning, execution, and strategy during the rollout of the new program. Manage student personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for clinical rotations, including Covid-specific PPE, lead vests, goggles, and locker assignments. Manage student paperwork required for various clinical sites, such as the VA and other clinics which have onboarding requirements and verification. Work closely with faculty directors, department chairs, and course administrators to ensure compliance with medical school accrediting agency standards (LCME) and Title IX initiatives. Analyze and distribute relevant data, contribute to the resolution of issues, and develop strategic plans in collaboration with internal and external colleagues.
