- Participate in the monthly close of a business unit, including the accurate preparation of the balance sheet, income statement and trial balance
- Prepare and/or review monthly analysis and reconciliations of key financial accounts on a timely basis
- Compile and analyze business unit budgets and forecast through collaboration with commercial, people and other teams across the organization
- Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries (standards, accruals)
- Identify and investigate fluctuations in financial information (actual vs budget/forecasts; budget/forecasts vs targets), working with business unit personnel as needed
- Work closely with intercompany partners on intercompany reconciliations
- Research unusual transactions, bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of the team leader and management as required
- Submit financial information to parent company via consolidation software (SAP / BFC (Cartesis)
- Prepare supporting documentation for both external and internal annual audits of respective business unit
- Maintain compliance with section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act by following predefined procedures
- Special projects as requested by the business unit leadership, Controller, Regional headquarters or our parent company
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis
- BS in Accounting, CPA certification preferred but not required
- 2+ years of public or 3+ years of private accounting experience
- Strong technical and analtical skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to investigate and resolve problems
- Good planning and communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across departmental functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Workday, Microsoft AX, Perceptive, SAP (BFC /Cartesis), Donovan Data Systems / Mediaocean a plus
