- Acute, sub-acute, outpatient, and chronic patient consultations with follow up and ongoing comprehensive medical management.
- Rotating on-call coverage of Pediatric medical management issues
- Effective updates through communication and education of referring providers, patients, and family members as appropriate, of medical management plan, clinical progress, and prognosis.
- Participate in professional development through education and mentorship of ancillary staff and other allied professionals.
- Coordinate and/or participate in integrated specialty and subspecialty consultations and interdisciplinary care conferences as needed.
- Participate in the strategic planning, oversight, and quality improvement initiatives of facilities and a variety of programs as directed by the Company.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
- Participate in work groups, teams, task forces and committees to support ongoing clinic functions.
- Foster communication and coordination within the clinic and outside agencies by establishing professional working relationships with others to facilitate the delivery of services to the patient.
- Ensure that clinic staff maintain observance of universal precautions.
- This position is responsible for reporting suspicion of child, adult (including spouses), elder, and dependent adult abuse as outlined in Penal Code, Section 11166, Section 15630, and Section 1160
- Licensed physician with the State of California required;
- 3 years Residency training in Pediatrics
- Must have current DEA number;
- Two plus years related experience preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Good computer skills, including MS Office, preferred.
- Valid California Driver's license with insurable driving record.
- Demonstrated person-centered approach and familiarity with trauma informed systems and restorative practices.
- Understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Several years of FQHC or community health center practice experience preferred
