Position OverviewThis position is a paid internship for a college student currently working towards a degree. Co-op available for spring 2025 or fall 2025 semester.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for providing engineering support for electrical, instrumentation, and control applications for all paper mill operations including:
  • Assisting EI&C Department Engineers in assigned tasks.
  • Field data gathering, inventory management analysis, and documentation streamlining.
  • Maintaining/updating drawings and equipment files.
  • Researching files to obtain information to answer questions relating to various mill equipment and processes.
  • Supervising project-related items and equipment/parts installations.
  • Meeting with contractors, vendors, engineers, etc.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study from an accredited institution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver and reinforce consistent messages at multiple levels.
  • Strong team player who can effectively work with others to meet objectives and timelines.
  • Must be willing to work in dirty, noisy, hot, humid environments.
  • Ability to work with plant personnel and engineering groups to ensure the proper execution of work.
  • Prioritization of time and work.
  • Use of self-initiative and independence to complete tasks with urgency and meet deadlines.
