- Responsible for formulation development of next-generation facial filler through synthesis, processing, & characterization of biomaterials.
- Utilize experience involving medical device & combination products. Utilize mechanical testing equipment such as Rheometer, Texture Analyzer & analytical equipment such as Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) & Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) to develop & establish Standard Operating Procedures for evaluating formulated biomaterials.
- Utilize knowledge of polymer synthesis, purification, characterizations, & formulation & process for prototype fillers.
- Work on process development via using of Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) method for batch synthesis and purification, & support collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop ex vivo & in vivo studies to establish the pre-clinical proof of concept for designed filler prototypes.
- Work with equipment/lab procedures such as TFF, HPLC & LC-MS analysis, NMR analysis, Spectrophotometry analysis, Rheometer for mechanical characterizations, Texture Analyzer for mechanical testing, Autoclaving, & Aseptic formulation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance biomaterial properties through ex vivo & in vivo studies.
- Establish non-clinical performance testing of formulation technology by developing benchtop characterization & analytical methods.
- Assist in formulation development including synthesis, processing, & characterization of new biomaterials for use in next generation medical device & drug delivery formulations.
- Assist in-house analytical studies setup (HPLC, LC-MS) by undertaking their respective trainings & implementing them to develop methods for detection & evaluation of formulated biomaterials.
- Serve as EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Lab Safety Officer.
- Responsible for monitoring lab safety & compliance to EHS guidelines by performing periodic Lab Safety Audits & organizing Lab Clean-up Days.
- Work with EHS managers to evaluate lab safety while implementing directives received from EHS Director following Company's commitment to EHS.
- Conduct Lab Orientation & Safety training for new members joining the team.
- EHS & Lab Safety Training Certification required.
