- Work and operate safely by following all plant and company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures and by demonstrating safe work practices, taking part in safety meetings, and advising the supervisor of any non-conforming conditions, as well as wearing all required personal protective equipment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot all equipment and process for variations and adjusts as needed according to SOP and Production Plan.
- Manual/Automated addition of raw materials as required.
- Ability to operate and maintain forklifts.
- Inventory Control: Daily checks and month-end reports are required to maintain sufficient materials are available.
- Reports all aspects of production daily to the home office, which includes Batch Reports, Packaging Reports, Inventory Receiving Reports and Scrap Reports.
- Quality Control: Includes testing the product during manufacturing and shipping samples for lab tests.
- Machinery and Equipment Maintenance: Clean and repair as needed to assure efficient production of products.
- Preparation for maintenance – prepare equipment for maintenance activities for PMs and schedule/unscheduled activities. Issue all permits for the required activities.
- Supervise and communicate with fellow operators, participating in safety meetings, and advising the supervisor of any non-conforming conditions, as well as wearing all required personal protective equipment.
- Works alongside quality personnel to ensure product meets rigorous specifications.
- Computer skills for maintaining inventory records (Excel) and emailing (Microsoft Outlook)
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1-3 years of experience operating pumps and mixing formulations in a liquid batch or continuous operated plant or solids handling experience.
- Forklift experience loading/unloading trucks.
- Lifting capacity between 75-100 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders and not be afraid of heights.
- General knowledge of machinery operation & repair.
- Ability to operate a forklift and pass forklift training.
- Must have valid driver’s license and pass background check and drug screening as required.
- Able to deal with external business entities effectively, positively, and professionally such as vendors, customers, and truck drivers.
- Expediently resolves issues and follows through on details.
- Exhibits patience, professionalism, and courtesy in internal and external communications.
