Job Title: Chef De Partie Job ID : CB-24-008 Location: Nagpur, India Responsibilities A motivated and excellent kitchen manager with strong technical skills to handle kitchen operations. Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, food preparation, and dish plating. Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients including inventory management. Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance. Ensures all back-end operations are working smoothly. Maintains a clean work environment and sanitizes the workstation and other areas as needed. Oversees and makes sure that the food is packed and labeled according to cafe's standards before dispatching to the cafe or online orders. Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizes waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns. Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and cafe standards. Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed with proper expiry dates mentioned. Assists Food Manager/head with menu creation and kitchen compliance. What we seek and expect from you Passion for food creation, preparation and education. Must be well-versed with all kitchen operations including plating and packaging. An enthusiastic learner and motivated team-player, problem solver with strong communication skills having adverse knowledge in managing kitchen operations. Confident in cooking skills and looking to grow, open-minded and able to bring a positive, friendly attitude to your workplace. A strong sense of consumer taste and self-starting work ethic. Qualifications Have strong knowledge in food handling and storage. Graduate with bachelor's degree or three years diploma in culinary. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a competitive environment or an established institution. Should have experience and knowledge in continental cuisine especially Italian and American. Basic computer skills. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. The job requires to be agile and stand for prolonged periods with use of hands and arms.
